The fashion industry has a sales volume of $14 billion, including $12 billion in wholesale apparel sales. Indeed it was recorded to have 125,000 visits by out-of-town apparel buyers, generating an estimated $100 million for New York City hotels, restaurants, transportation services and other non-apparel businesses. The industry also provides 100,000 jobs in fashion-related firms.
