The industry also provides 100,000 jobs in fashion-related firms.

Although challenged by other fashion cities such as Milan, London and New York, Paris has been the international capital of style for three hundred years and remains special. Pierre Cardin, Chanel, Christian Lacroix, Christian Dior, Yves Saint Laurent, French fashion firms set the Paris fashion trend. It also attracted some fashion firms from all over the world like Kenzo from Japan, Versace and Armani from Italy.
